Our Mission and Activities

The Parksville Rotary Club is committed to improving the lives of individuals and families within our community. Through our weekly Bottle Drop initiative, we raise essential funds that are directed towards various local organizations. Our efforts ensure that these groups have the resources they need to continue their invaluable work. From supporting educational programs to enhancing community services, our mission is to foster a spirit of generosity and service.

What Our Community Partners Say

A generous donation from the Rotary Club of Parksville recently enabled Forward House Community Society to replace two vintage stoves and an equally aged washer and dryer. This new equipment is fundamental to our ability to serve the needs of our more than 80 clients who face mental health challenges on a daily basis.

The Saturday Breakfast Club is a free program that brings together the joy of food, play, stories, and song. It is provided on select Saturdays at Munchkinland and operated by the Oceanside Building Learning Together Society in Parksville. Through the remarkable generosity of the Rotary Club, we were able to purchase dry milk for our local food bank, as well as a new freezer and refrigerator for our soup kitchen. These vital resources ensure we can continue to provide fresh, nutritious meals and essential support to the vulnerable individuals and families we serve.

SOS is extremely thankful to the Rotary Club of Parksville for their generous support. The grants provided by the Club have allowed SOS to expand our tutoring program and provide healthy, nutritious food to children in our TICTAC and Kids Movement: Play, Express & Grow programs. This assistance addresses needs and also enhances the education, literacy, and self-confidence of local children and youth.
