Requests For Support
The Rotary Club of Parksville is a member of a global network of 1.4 million neighbors, friends, leaders and problem-solvers who see a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change – across the globe, in our communities, and in ourselves.
As a result of ongoing fundraising efforts, the Rotary Club of Parksville is able to consider requests for funding of projects that improve lives, both locally and internationally. Donation requests are considered on a quarterly basis, with submission deadlines as follows: July 15, October 15, January 15, and April 15.
Donations made as of July 1, 2024 are:
- OBLT Saturday Breakfast Club – purchase of food
- Therapeutic Swim Program – enabling students with physical disabilities to participate in a swim program
- Victim Services – assisting victims of crimes with both emotional and practical support services
- Tim’s Camps – supporting Tim’s Camps
- Nanoose Daycare – roof replacement
- Tour de Rock – lunch provided in Parksville for Tour de Rock participants
- Forward House – purchase of appliances
- 100 Kids For Change Oceanside – Rotary will match their donations
- Bradley Centre – building modifications to enable greater accessibility
- Salvation Army – purchase of fridge, freezer and stove (photo at right) for Soup Kitchen, along with supplies for the Food Bank
